Js Ice Cream Album Free Download
JS stands for the Johnson Sisters, Kim and Kandy, two young and harmonious R&B vocalists learned in the art of couching subtly (and often not-so-subtly) suggestive bits of innuendo in the sweetest, lightest, most innocent beats. Though young, the two sisters have been singing together since childhood and have a bit of a history in the music biz, doing session work for many artists, including Christina Aguilera before being discovered by soul legend Ronald Isley.
This was my big sister's favorite song throughout summer 2003. Never really took notice of this because I was.
Considering the subject and the tenor of the lyrics, it's not overly surprising that controversial, if undeniably talented, R. Kelly has his hands all over JS's debut ICE CREAM, writing and producing the majority of the tracks, including the title track and debut single. Dripping in soulful sensuality, but sweet as confectioner's sugar, 'Ice Cream' spills double-entendre after double entendre over a nursery rhyme backbeat. The sisters go even further on the R. Kelly-esque 'Slow Grind;' the title pretty much sums up the fetching jam. 'Love Angel' and 'Someone' show the duo capable of simple love songs as well. Overall, JS provides an alluringly physical debut in the vein of TLC on ICE CREAM.

I recommend drinking bleach, playing chicken with freight trains or challenging Just-Ice to a fist fight in order to hasten your ascent to the pearly gates/pits of hell/endless grey void that awaits you. For all the rest of you, please enjoy my favorite Nice & Smooth songs – in particular the unreleased ‘Turn It Out,’ which features the best use of Babe Ruth‘s ‘Keep Your Distance’ in some time and was re-recorded with a different beat for the Blazin’ Hot LP.

Dope Not Hype! Thanks Robbie we’re steady building up a nice collection of these compilations. No ‘Down The Line’? The posse cut still gets slated I see. I guess hearing Tim Westwood play it on a reggae sound system at Dingwalls and on Capital Radio back in the day helped forge my appreciation of the drum the bass that familiar loop and a few MC’s id never heard before, love that jam.
I like that Smooth B solo but it would have been a whole heap better imo if he’d not gone for the unenthusiastic sounding whisper rap on ‘Game Over’ can hardly hear him! Spoiled that 12″ for me.
